Dorm Room Taxi Driver

So, normally Shuttereyeland is only a photo-blog, however, since this video, "Dorm Room Taxi Driver", that Tom and I created is gaining worldwide acclaim and nearly viral, I decided just to post it here so that the small minority of people who haven't seen it yet have a chance to join in the universal craze. Enjoy!

Banahan-Clan-Head-Bands

This is a series of photos that Steve and I took for Kelly Banahan's headband company. When she gets the website up, I'll post the link here so my hordes of fans can visit and purchase the items (plus more!) seen in these pictures. These were taken in Forest Park.

Pariah: I

This is a collection of pictures that spans all sorts of labels. They don't, at the moment, fit in to any one category but, nonetheless, I like them and wanted to post them on here. They are the outcasts, the rejects, the social pariah; and they're here to stay.

Reader Beware: You're in for a scare.

The Bana-clan Photo-Shoot

These are pictures that I took for and of the three wonderful Banahan girls. They were taken in Francis Park. So far the Banahans are the only people to offer to pay me for my services, which either speaks strongly to their character or to the quality of my photographs. I'd like to believe in the former.

Through Windows Series

These are the first pictures I've taken at school this year (2010). I have a couple classes in a few tall buildings and the view out the windows gave me the idea for this "series" of photos I want to take: The "Through Windows" Series--I'm confident no one has ever attempted to shoot photographs through their windows before, so I think this is a really good idea. There are only a few up right now, but I hope to add to them in the future. All were originally shot in color and later converted to black and white.

Itch my drunken nose for the pictures! : ^)

A Bo(y) and His Dog: The Legend of Sydney Hoffmann

For Thomas Hoffmann no adage rings truer than the one about dog being Man's best friend. Ever since she was but an innocent pup, Sydney and Tom have had a connection stronger than welded steel; And then, tragedy struck: Legend has it that one sunny afternoon (Saint) James Unverferth tortured and ridiculed Sydney through one horrible game of "Keep Away". From that day on the dog was never the same...She growled, hissed, foamed at the teeth and, famously, nearly bit Mayor Bert Gates. Her demeanor was one of violence. Her soul was one of repression. She had become a mere shadow of her old-self. Her pain was so horrible that she practically shrunk into herself and drew away from all non-Hoffmanns. These pictures were taken on what is speculated to be one of Sydney's last remaining days. On this particular afternoon, she almost seemed to regain some of the spunk of yesteryear. If you look close enough, you just might be able to catch a glimpse of that young girl in her black eyes, peeking out to give one last bow; trying with all her might to summon the courage to confront her past...but you'll have to look awfully close.

Holy Penguins

The Holy Redeemer gals wanted pictures to prove just how good of friends the lot of them still were, despite ALL going their separate ways for college--Impressive, I know. The five of them, plus the old ball and chain over here, headed out to forest park again for the shoot, this time at, in and around "Prom Lake" (The Grand Basin) at the bottom of Art Hill. What ensued was magical, adorable and, at times, quite shocking. Take a look for yourself...

Jeffery and Sue Photo-shoot

This is the first post of this blog, so I guess it's sort of backwards to put up my very latest photos with the intention of uploading my earlier ones later...BUT, alas, that is what I did. These are pictures taken today, August 19, and they are pictures of the Great Jeff Wa and Shopgurl, who remain best friends even after being separated during college. They were taken in Forest Park at the bottom of the World's Fair Pavilion by the Boat House. Jeffery was very enthusiastic about the photos and was a great subject to shoot; however, they both looked very good and put together. Below is the link to the photos. Thanks for the opportunity pals!
